What is the Ultimate Opening Number?The Ultimate Opening Number is a performance opportunity for dancers nominated by their studio director to learn and perform the opening number for The Ultimate Ceremony.

Who is eligible for Top Studio?Studios must have 3 small groups, 2 large groups, and 1 line/production in the same competitive level. If a studio qualifies for more than one competitive level, that studio will be eligible only for the higher level Top Studio.

What are the performance opportunities at The Ultimate PAC Attack Challenge?Ultimate Opening Number, the Top 10 Titlists in each eligible age category perform a routine, and the Top 10 Artists of the Year in each eligible age category perform a routine.

What winners are announced at The Ultimate Ceremony?The following will be announced: Top 10 Titlists across all age divisions, Top 10 Artists of the Year across all age divisions, Top 5 Ultimate Performers, Top 5 Most Creative Concepts, and Top 5 Best Emotional Executions all announced in no particular order. All routines competing for Best In Show will be recognized.

How are the Top 5 Ultimate Performers determined?At the Ultimate Ceremony, there will be 4 rounds of improv competition in all different styles of dance. Each round there will be cuts. In the final round, dancers will be cut to a Top 5.

How are the Top 5 Most Creative Concept routines determined?All routines that won the Most Creative Concept at the CLA will re-compete against all other winners across all age divisions and competitive levels to determine the Top 5.

How are the Top 5 Best Emotional Execution routines determined?All routines that won Best Emotional Execution at the CLA will re-compete against all other winners across age divisions and competitive levels to determine the Top 5.

How do I know if my group is eligible to re-compete at The Ultimate PAC Attack Challenge?All groups that won any of the following: Most Creative Concept, Best Emotional Execution, and Best in Show, are eligible to re-compete at The Ultimate PAC Attack Challenge.

How do I know if my solo is eligible for The Ultimate PAC Attack Challenge?All Ultimate Performers are eligible to compete in an improv competition to determine the Top 5 Ultimate Performers across all age divisions and competitive levels.

Do the Ultimate Opening Number performers get recognized?Yes, they will be recognized in the Opening Ceremony.

When do doors open?Doors open 40 minutes before the start of the day.

Where is the score breakdown for adjudication awards?Your director will have all scoring information.

When are the awards ceremonies?There is an awards ceremony at the end of every session.

What are the age levels?Mini (5 & Under), Petite (6-8), Junior (9-10), Pre-Teen (11-12), Teen (13-15), Senior (16-19)

What are the competitive levels?Advanced (Novice), Competitive (Intermediate), Pre-Professional (Elite)

How do I know if my solo is picked for a Call Back?You will hear the lights and sirens! All solos that receive the lights and sirens will be eligible for an improv show off in their age category and competitive level. These dancers will then be considered Ultimate Performers.

How do I know if my group is picked for the PAC Attack?You will hear the lights and sirens! All group routines that receive the lights and sirens will be considered PAC Attack Finalists and will re-compete for Best In Show in their age and competitive level.

My dancer is in the Top 10 Titlists. What do they need to do?Your dancer is eligible to learn and perform a routine for The Ultimate Ceremony. They will need to wear all black and their Title crown given to them at the awards ceremony. View the Title page for more information on rehearsal times and place.

My dancer is in the Top 10 Artists of the Year in their age category. What do they need to do?Your dancer is eligible to learn and perform a routine at The Ultimate Ceremony. They will need to wear all black and the lettermen jacket they received at the awards ceremony. View the Artist of the Year page for more information on rehearsal times and place.

Do you accept song and dance routines?No.

Do graduating seniors get recognized?Yes, they will be recognized in the Opening Ceremony.

Can I enter more than one solo for Title?Yes, there is no limit on Title entries per dancer.

My dancer only has one solo. I am concerned about them getting an overall only for Title, what do you recommend?It is recommended that dancers with multiple solos participate in the Title competition.

Which age divisions can run for Title?Petite, Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen, and Senior.

Which levels can run for Title?Pre-Professional only.

Are Title entries included in regular overalls?No, Title entries will be placed in their overall separate from their regular age and level overall.

Is Title ever split by age division?Yes, when an age division exceeds 10 entries we will split that age division to compete in an independent Title. Example, 8 & Under (5 entries), 9-12 (5 entries), Teen (11 entries), Senior (45) entries. 13 & Up will be separated to give out a Top 10 for each age division.

What if there are not enough registrants for Title in a specific age group?We will contact your director.

Do Title entries receive adjudicated placements?Yes, each Title entry will receive their adjudicated placement. Please note, Title scores are based on a separate score sheet, not the adjudicated score.

How is Title scored?Title has a different scoring sheet for each style of dance. Your director can provide more information about this scoring method.

Can a dancer that scored higher in adjudicated receive a higher Title placement?Yes, Title has a separate scoring system specific to the style of dance that the routine is registered for.

Who receives a crown?Every dancer in the Top 10 will receive a crown or a beanie.

Can I register for Title at the event?No. We do not accept Title registrations at the event as Title entries are scheduled in a separate session.

My Title entry is unable to perform during their time slot. Can they compete before in a different session?No, all Title entries must compete at their scheduled time.

How do I submit my Titlist t-shirt size?Your director will do this for you.

How many solos do I need to register for Artist of the Year?A minimum of 3 solos in all different styles.

Can I register for Artist of the Year on site?No, all dancers must pre-register for Artist of the Year as they will be competing in a separate session.

What age divisions are eligible to register for Artist of the Year?Dancers must be in the Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen, or Senior age levels. Minis, Petites, and Adults are not eligible to compete.

Which levels can register for Artist of the Year?Pre-Professional only.

Is there an extra fee for Artist of the Year?Yes, there is an additional fee per dancer.

How are the Top 10 Artists of the Year determined?The Top Artists of the Year in each age level are determined by the average adjudicated score of all dancer's solos registered.

How are the category awards separated?They are separated as follows: Ballet/Pointe, Contemporary/Modern, Lyrical/Lyrical Jazz, Jazz, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Tap, Open/Acro, Clogging, Poms/Folklore

My Artist of the Year entries are not able to compete in their scheduled time slot. Can they compete in a different session?No, all Artist of the Year entries must compete in their scheduled session.
